Zackariah was born February 27, 2013 in St. Louis, Mo. Zack passed away unexpectedly at the tender age of 9 the morning of March 23, 2013. Zackariah Arshawn Stewart transitioned to his heavenly home peacefully in his sleep, with a slight smile on his face.
Zack was small but mighty. We would call him the world's smallest bodybuilder because his muscles were cut, mostly due to his medical condition but he would flex them just the same. Zack was strong from start to the end of his life and endured more challenges than most children. Zackers had the most contagious laugh and infectious smile. He was a happy and bright child despite having cerebral palsy. He may have been classified as non verbal but he had a way of letting you know how he felt. People centered around Zack and he loved getting attention. Zack would smile, laugh and kick out his legs.
Zackariah was in the 3rd grade at Elizabeth Morris Elementary where he was able to touch the lives of many. Zack was greeted with smiling faces, handholds and school staff picking him up and loving on him. This is where he fell in love with his teacher Ms. Wenge and she with him. Zack was very social at school and got to connect with other kids, teachers, class aids, the principal and more.
Zack grew physically and mentally with the help of those around him. Zack's mother and grandmother, teacher, Dr. 's, physical, speech and occupational therapist worked attentively with Zack to ensure he could have the best experiences out of his life. Zack went on family vacations, to parks, movies, camping and all inbetween. Places where his stroller could go or his mama could carry him. Zack was the youngest out of three children.
Zackariah leaves to cherish his memory his mother LaShonda Stewart, siblings Alecia Vaughn, Ameria Turner, Aniya Slay, Ashanti Vaughn and Dorian Russell. Grandparents Elaine Stewart, Gwendolyn Houston and Laura Gardner. Aunts Cynthia Stewart and Mary Boettcher, Uncle Jeffery Houston. Closest Relatives Zariya Slay and Dorian Russell.
