Yvette V. Peals was born July 30, 1955 in Chicago, IL to Maggie Lee Brown and Jack Clearence "JC" Myles. Her mother, Maggie, father, Jack "JC", husband, Lavon M. "Jimmie Lee" Peals, Daughter, Takitha "Keda" Peals, brothers, Ricky Robinson and Maurice F. Davis preceded her in death.

At an early age, Yvette first confessed a hope in Christ at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, Rev. Z. Brooks, Chicago, IL, and later in life, was united with Holy Olivette Missionary Baptist Church, Rev. Roy Page, East St. Louis, IL, 62207.

On June 14, 1982, Yvette was united in holy matrimony to Lavon M. Peals. They were the proud parents of two children, Takitha "Keda" and Nicole "Nickie."

Yvette was a nurse. She worked in the mental health field, and she was a retired Special Education Teacher of 25+ years at St. Louis City Public Schools in St. Louis, MO.

Yvette departed this life on June 18, 2024. She leaves to cherish her memory a daughter, Nicole (Ontario "Terry") Hill; sisters, Mary E. Coleman of Chicago, IL, Shivaran (Bobby) Scott of Bastrop, LA, Mersades "PeeWee" Brown of Belleville, IL., Adrienne "Red" Brown of Swansea, IL., Andrea "Duck" Johnson of Belleville, IL., Rita Davenport of Belleville, IL., Lorna Berry of Oxford, Mississippi; god-brothers, Perry (LaDonna) Coleman Jr. of O'Fallon, IL., James Lowry of Belleville, IL; grandchildren, Le'Ka'le "Ka'le" Darden, Le'Mar "Budda" Gully, Ni'Kima "Kima" Hughes and Ny'La Hill, all of Belleville, IL; nieces, Tiffany Shannon of Pittsburgh, PA., Shanika Brown of Belleville, IL., Lahtiana "Lahlah" Loston of East St. Louis, IL, Caroline M. Lane of Chicago., Stephanie M. Davis of Chicago, IL, Candice Willis of Bastrop, LA; nephews, Manolito "Mano" Brown of Belleville, IL, Darrius Taylor of Memphis, TN., Damon (Megan) Sanders of Swansea, IL., Christopher Shannon of Pittsburgh, PA., Lavalle Poole of East St. Louis, IL, Richard L. Tanner and Charles J. Coleman of Chicago, IL., Maurice F. Davis Jr. of Chicago, IL, Brandon Scott of Bastrop, LA and a host of other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Special Friend David Smith and "The Golden Ladies".
