Yvette Jethroe-Jones was born on October 16, 1958 in St. Louis, MO to the union of Mr. John Wesley Jethroe and Mary Gossett.

Yvette graduated from Vashon High School. She later attended STLCC. Yvette united in wedlock with Mr. Arthur Jones Jr. in 1975. To this union two beautiful children were before the marriage came to an end in the 90's.

Yvette loved her job where she spent 25 years as a lead cook at Bethesda Southgate. She adored her coworkers and residents.

Yvette enjoyed her family and friends, but mostly her grandchildren. Yvette later found Christ and united with Centreville Church of Christ under the leadership of Rev. Ralph Smith.

On June 3, 2023 , Yvette graduated to her Heavenly home. She will reunite with her parents, 1 sister, bonus son and grandson, Jermey McCartney. She leaves to cherish her memory her children, Tina Jones-Gray (Juan), Christopher Jones (Christina); one sister, Joann Jethroe-Jones; two brothers, Steve Jethroe and Kenneth Gossett; grandchildren, Christana, Christopher Jr., Keshawn, Chrisshae Jones, all of Cahokia, IL, Teana, Donnell McCartney, Jasmonique McCartney, Michael McCartney, Edward McCartney, Cynthia Ward, all of St. Louis, MO; 13 great grandchildren, special friend, Tommy Burns of Columbia, IL.
