Willie Prather was born on May 24, 1933 in Pinson, TN to Willie Prather Sr. & Barbara Lumkin.

Willie brought joy and laughter wherever he went. He will be remembered for his kindness, humor, strength, and his caring spirit. He loved traveling making sure he visited ever state before passing. Willie also loved singing and would hum and sing daily.

Our hearts are heavy as we announce the passing of Willie, who left this world on October 3, 2025 surrounded by love. He is survived by his beautiful soulmate, Mattie (Veronica, James (Sandra), Andrea (Vernon, Ora "Kat" (Delmont); his daughter, Josette; his grandchildren, Jermaine, Aalyah (Kevion), Marco, Demarcus, Alexis, and Amber; his siblings, Rosey, Lep (Lynn), Shirley and Bessie, a host of great-grandchildren, and the Hill Family. He also leaves behind countless friends and loved ones who will cherish their memory forever.
