William Darryl Leroy was born on June 4, 1965 to Edna Leroy-Lloyd and William Lloyd. He was the fifth child.

William received his formal education in the East St. Louis School District and graduated in 1983. He further attended Lane College in Tennessee. He joined the United States Army in 1986.

William was baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus at Gethsemane Church under the leadership of Bishop Willie Mosby at the time, now it's Bishop Keith Mosby.

William worked as a security officer at many companies including most recent GardaWorld in St. Louis, MO until his illness.

William was fun, loving, and the life of the party. He enjoyed early mornings, music, and spending time with family and friends.

William completed his life's journey and went home to rest on November 12, 2022. He was preceded in death by his father, William Lloyd and niece Keisha Tolson. He leaves to cherish his memories his mother Edna Lloyd; one sister Cheryl Leroy of Belleville, IL; brothers, Herman Leroy of Belleville, IL, Keith (Sherrell) Lloyd of Madison, IL, Steve Allen, Victor Leroy, and Patrick Leroy of East St. Louis, IL, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, many relatives and friends.
