U Dee House, lovingly known as "Nanny", was born on March 31, 1944 in Helena, AR to the late Rosetta Robinson-Harris and James Harris, Sr. She departed this life on Sunday, January 1, 2023 at Belleville, Memorial Hospital. She was preceded in death by her mother, Rosetta Harris, father, James Harris, Sr., brothers, George Underwood, Willie Underwood, Charlie Underwood, AC Harris, and James Harris Jr., sisters, Dollie Mae Spencer and Erma White.
U Dee received her formal education in Helena, AR. She also decided to take her education to the next level, so she went back to obtain her G.E.D. She also was employed by Specialized Living Center (SLC) for over 30 years until she retired.
U Dee professed her faith in Christ at an early age in Helena, AR. She was a member of Pilgrim Missionary Baptist Church under the late Rev. Mack R. Lemons. She later joined Galilee Central Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Matthew Turner where she served as a faithful member. She loved her church family and served as a Sunday School Teacher, Pastor's Aide, Choir Member, Finance Committee and Miss Galilee for 2 years. She was a faithful member until her health failed.
U Dee moved to East St. Louis, IL where she would meet and marry Mr. Woodrow House. U Dee leaves to cherish her memories her husband, Woodrow House; children, Ronald (Annette) Moss, Kenneth (Carolyn) Harris, Candace (Sherman) Harris, Atanya House, Eunice (Concepcion) Brown Sr. and special daughter, Keisha Green; grandchildren, Deontrez Dickerson, Leontrez Dickerson, DaShon Hill (Rose Bud), Kayanna Anderson (Lucille), Tyrone Mac Brown, Ronald Moss II, Yonyse Moss II, Randle Moss II, Mario Goodlow, Kenneth Goodlow, Kendra Banks, Keneen Banks, Tevin Banks, Tashee O'Dell, Kortney Lewis, Daija Brown, Eniah Brown, Concepcion Brown Jr., Itayvion Brown, Itayvia Brown, 13 great grandchildren; sisters, Lottie B. Nickerson, Rosetta Harris (Bennie), and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
