Obituary

On November 1, 1999 , Tyler Lamont'e Thomas (Moore) was born to the union of Caprishon Tarcia Moore and Eddie Lamont Thomas in Granite City, IL. He was the third out of seven beautiful children.

Tyler accepted Christ at an early age of 6 years old. He attended Belleville Christian Center and was baptized under Pastor Gerry Brandmeyer. He participated in various school activities throughout his youth, such as baseball, football, track, and basketball. He enjoyed singing and dancing in Harambee. He also played the saxophone. Tyler received many honors, awards and accolades throughout his educational years. Tyler graduated from Belleville West High School in 2018. He then furthered his education in 2019 at Arkansas of Pine Bluff (HBCU) and pledged a fraternity.

Tyler was a joyful soul that loved to be around people. He smile would light up a room and make you feel comfortable. He wasn't a stranger to hard work. Tyler was very ambitious with dreams that went beyond the stars and clouds. He had a passion for fashion and oved to dress to impress. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He liked to help others and had a kind, caring, loving and compassionate heart. He liked to joke, play around, and have fun.

These are some of Tyler's favorite scriptures "Train up a child in the way he should go, And he shall not depart from, wisdom to live in the fear of God" (Philippians 4:13), "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." Tyler believed and recognized that God is his source, and it is by God's will that things are accomplished "through" praying, practicing, patience and perseverance during difficulty and never losing heart. (Proverbs 3:5-6), "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding in all your ways submit to him and he will make your path straight." We thank our Heavenly Father for entrusting all of his loved ones with his life. This was well spoken by his beloved Madear. Tyler was always taught by his Madear Shirley Silas to "Put God first in all you do."
