Triva Elaine Murphy was born on August 10, 1962 to Shirley Jean Murphy and George Kelly in Chicago, Illinois. She was the third of seven children.

Triva moved to East St. Louis, Illinois in 1966 at the age of 4 years old because her grandmother was sick so her mother came to take care of her. Triva was baptized and filled with the Holy Ghost at Bethel Lively Stone Church of God.

Triva graduated from Lincoln Senior High School and continued her education at Vatterott College for nursing school. She was a hardworking woman. She worked all her life until her sickness began and took over her body.

Triva had a heart of gold. She would give you the shirt off her back if she could. She was a loving and caring person. She loved her daughter and grandchildren. She loved spending time with them.

Triva loved music and watching her favorite tv shows, Sanford & Son, Good Times, and What's Happening. She loved music so much she introduced her favorite church songs to her grandchildren such as Cooling Water by Lee William, Rough Side Of The Mountain by Rev. F.C. Barnes, and On Time God by Dottie Peoples. Spending time with them meant everything to her.

She is preceded in death by her mother, uncle, aunt, and three brothers.

Triva received her wings on August 10, 2025 at 4:15 p.m. God called her home on her birthday. She leaves to cherish her memories her only child, Kirra Johnson; six grandchildren, Kamarion Johnson, Khamir Wilson, Korianna Stephens, Kaylie Johnson, Kamaya Washington, and Kanaya Washington of East St. Louis, IL; her brother, Johnny Seaz and only sister, Delisa Seaz, as well as a host of family and friends.
