Tracie Carol Mason, 51, was granted her angel wings on January 8, 2020. She was born March 24, 1968 in St. Louis, Missouri to Julia P. Neely and Whit Beard.

Tracie, a long-time resident of St. Clair County, Illinois was a dedicated mother, sister, and aunt who loved to love on people. As a long-time member of St. Augustine of Hippo Catholic Church she served as a steward of her community and committed herself to giving to others. For more than 20 years she devoted her life to underprivileged and at risk youth working as a Juvenile Counselor for St. Louis County.

Those who knew Tracie could not help but be a bundle of smiles, laughs, and giggles when near her as her spirit was bold and bright. Tracie's generosity was untenable and her life was a living example of Bible verse, Ephesians 4:32 - "And be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving one another, just as God also forgave you in Christ." She was a truly beautiful soul who shared her passion for life through food and laughter. Tracie will be forever missed and her memory will be ingrained in the heart and souls of her loved ones.

Tracie is survived by her children, Ray McNeal and Kiarra Mason; grandchildren, Jamarion McNeal, Mariah McNeal, and Mason McNeal; her sisters, Laurie Bolden, Crystal Johnson, Murietta Rome, Julie (Gary) Harper, Pamela (Irwin) Thames, and Mandy Neely; brothers, Christopher (Patricia) Beard and Phillip Davis; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. All of those she loved and touched deeply.
