Tori Alicia Prater was born on October 9, 1959 in St. Louis, MO to the union of Calvin Palmer and Bernice Whiteside.

Tori moved to East St. Louis as a young teen and graduated from East St. Louis Senior High School.

She was a longtime employee of Famous-Barr Company and retired from U.S. Bank after serving more than twenty years.

Tori was a very sociable person who had a zest for life. She enjoyed shopping and entertaining.

Tori was a mother of three children, one of whom preceded her in death. She is also preceded in death by her mother, Berniece; her father, Calvin; bonus mother, Leatha; sister, Cheryl, and brothers, Rodney & Daryl.

Tori departed this life on February 1, 2024 . She leaves to cherish her memory her daughters, Shameka Stanley and Sherri Stanley; sister, Rosilyn Bradley; brother, Karl Palmer; sister, Ashley Hoskin; grandson, Christian Pittman; cousin, Chiquita Stuckey and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
