Thomas Lee Moy was born on December 1, 1932 in East Prairie, MO to the union of Jim Moy and Fannie (North) Moy, one of seven children.

A veteran of the Korean War, Mr. Thomas Moy served in the US Army. He achieved the rank of Tsgt and served with C Company, 14th Infantry Regiment. His medals and awards include: Korean Service Ribbon, United Nations Service Medal, National Defense Service Medal and Expert Sharpshooter M1. He was inducted into the Livingston County War Museum.

On November 12, 1966, he was united in holy matrimony to Ms. Beverly Hickman-Mosley and to this union seven children were born.

Mr. Moy worked at General Steel and Granite City Steel retiring from Granite City Steel in 1995, after 22 years of employment. He attended Wayne School and Belleville Area College starting his own company T & B Heating and Cooling in 1970. Heating and cooling was his passion.

He enjoyed servicing his community and if a day went by when he didn't receive a call, he was lost and needed to find something else to keep himself busy. He loved going on hunting trips with his brother James every year, and also enjoyed fishing.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jim and Fannie Moy, five siblings, Flora Ivy Scott, R.C. Nelson, Frank Moy, Lottie Williams and Ernestine Williams.

Mr. Moy departed this life on August 25, 2021. He is survived by his devoted wife, Mrs. Beverly Jeanne Moy of 55 years; seven children Tony Ornez Childress, Valerie Jeanne Moy, Kimberly Elise (Jeffrey) Mitchell, Tammie Anne Moy-Dowell, Benedict Hickman (Florence) Mosley, Cheryl Gwendolyn Mosley, Vincent Todd Mosley; one brother, James (Margie) Moy; 17 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
