Ms. Terrie Elaine Woods was born August 24, 1961 in East St. Louis, Illinois to the union of Donald and Hazel Woods, both of whom preceded her in death. Terrie was affectionately referred to by her middle name, Elaine.

Elaine was a homemaker and mother of 5 children. She loved cooking for her family, friends, and loved ones. She enjoyed playing bingo, spending time with her grandkids and valued being with her family. Elaine was very compassionate, charismatic, and smiled a lot.

Elaine completed her education in East St. Louis School District #189 and later moved to Texarkana, Texas about five years ago.

Elaine departed this life on June 14, 2024 after a short illness. She leaves to cherish her legacy five children, Shimmika Carodine, Brian Smith, Keith Smith, Aleashia Woods, and Shane Smith; one beloved sister, Anita Woods (Ed); three brothers, Tariq Cabel-Lane (Philicia) Woods, Avery (Dorothy) Woods, Darren (Linda) Woods; 14 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews and cousins; special first cousin who was more like an aunt than a cousin, Bonnie Grayson; Special Friend, Cheryl Morris.
