Summer Mercedes Richards was born on November 18, 1997 in Belleville, Illinois.  Summer was blessed with mothers, Gloria Richards and Amanda Robinson and fathers, the late Tommy Richards and Wille Wise.  She confessed a hope in Jesus Christ at an early age at John Divine Missionary Baptist Church.  She grew up and was raised in East St. Louis, Illinois.  She was educated in School District 189 and graduated from East St. Louis Senior High School.

Summer loved to take pictures and could have been a computer analyst/programmer.  She loved computers.  She was also into fashion. Summer was also an entrepreneur with two businesses, Doctor IOS and Summer Richard Photography.

On Monday, May 17, 2021, Summer joined her father.  She leaves to cherish her memory her parents, Gloria Richards, Amanda Robinson and Willie Wise;  7 sisters, Katrina K'igoda, Alzada Bassett of Tennessee, Juaneshia Scuab, Jennifer Reddie, Crystal Stepney, Alize Richards of Nebraska and Myracle Wise;  8 brothers, Willie Wise, Jr., DeMarco Holmes, DeCarlo Holmes, Christopher Bassett, Timothy Bassett, Charles Cooper, Alpheause Bassett and William Stepney;  a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends.  A very special mention to her extended brother, Wanya Williams and best friend Daivan Rush.
