Obituary

Stacy Dion Patrick was born on July 7, 1963 , to Dorothy Marie Patrick and Leroy Marks in St. Louis, Missouri.

Stacy was the third oldest of six children. Stacy's mother Dorothy Marie Patrick-Harrell-Toler-Keely; his stepfather William "Dock" Toler; and two brothers: Shae Jerry Patrick, and Seth Rodney Patrick, all preceded him in death.

Stacy confessed a hope in Christ at an early age when his family resided in Elkhart, Indiana. Stacy worked as a laborer with his stepfather and two brothers. Stacy had a deep affection for animals and was always bringing home horses, tortoises, rabbits, and large hares. Stacy loved to dance, enjoyed the outdoors, and went on numerous fishing trips with his family.

Stacy cared deeply about his family and was always looking out for them to ensure no one hurt them. If someone came to pick you up, he would always look them up and down. Then he would pull you to the side and let you know he had his eye on them and would give you a small pocketknife for protection.

Twenty years ago, Stacy was hit by an individual in a speeding car resulting in various severe medical related issues. Due to this, he was in and out of hospitals and nursing care facilities in St. Louis County, Missouri and St. Clair County, Illinois.  He was eventually admitted to Granite City Nursing Rehabilitation Center in Granite City, Illinois.  This is where he resided until his death at Gateway Regional Medical Center in Granite City, Illinois.

Stacy leaves to cherish his memory three sisters: Sharon McKnight (Windsor McKnight Jr.) of Belleville, Illinois, Stephanie Patrick-Roberts, and Simone Patrick both of St. Louis, Missouri; one Aunt, Mary Gathings of St. Louis, Missouri; six nieces, Signoret Mitchell (Aaron Mitchell) and Sharika McKnight both of Belleville, Illinois, Shannon Joyner (Phillip Joyner), Shabria Roberts, Shyra Maclin, and Jiara Ross all of St. Louis, Missouri; six nephews, Shalmario Patrick  Sr. (LaTanya McClendon-Patrick), Shaetrion Maclin, and Markeeths Jones all of St. Louis, Missouri; Demario Maclin, Stephan Patrick, and ShaJarvis Patrick all of Cleveland, Tennessee, as well as host of great nieces and nephews, great-great nieces and nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
