Obituary

Sirrendrick Smith was born and raised in East St. Louis, Illinois on March 30, 1967 from the union of Tommie and Emma Reed. He was the fourth of six children; and both parents preceded him in death.

Sirrendrick was academically sound. After graduating from the East St. Louis Senior High School in 1985, he moved to Jefferson City, Missouri and attended Lincoln University - a historical black college where he studied Electrical and Drafting Engineering. In 1987, while continuing to pursue a degree in Drafting Engineering, Sirrendrick moved back to East St. Louis where he continued his studies and received his Associate Degree in Commercial Engineering Drafting Technology from ITT Technical Institute, a Bachelor Degree in Information Technology. - Magna Cum Laude, and a Master Degree of Education from the American InterContinental University.

In 1994, Sirrendrick met and married the love of his life Wanda and from this union, two children were born. Their union was met with much chagrin; but nevertheless, they remained committed to each other for twenty-nine (29) years until God received Sirrendrick to Himself.

Sirrendrick was employed with the St. Louis Society for the Blind as a Material Handler of the First Aid Department. During the eight years, Sirrendrick moved up the ladder to Forman and the Computer Aided Drafting until 2019.

Sirrendrick surrendered his life to Christ and was baptized in Jesus Name and filled with the Holy Ghost at House of Prayer to All Nations under the leadership of the late Bishop John H. Pettiford. Later, Sirrendrick joined Light House of Hope, where he was a faithful member under the leadership of Pastor Byron Thompson.

On Tuesday, August 22, 2023; Go spoke to Sirrendrick and said: "Well done my good and faithful servant. You have run your race, and you have finished your course. Sirrendrick accepted the call, and departed this life.

Sirrendrick leaves to cherish his loving memories: a loving wife ~ Wanda; four sons, Kendrick (Courtney), Jeremy, Sirrendrick, Jr. and DuJuan; two grandchildren ~ Truly and Josiah; four sisters ~ Diana (Joe), Verlie (Willie), Nitta (Brister) and NaKesia; three brothers ~ Carlos (Pasha), Derrick and Tommie; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, Frat Brothers and friends.
