Sharon Denise Stewart was born on Sunday, November 16, 1969 in East St. Louis, Illinois to the union of John Allen Hoyle and Dottie Mae Hunt-Stewart.

At a young age, Sharon confessed a hope in Christ. She grew up in East St Louis attending School District 189 and graduating from East St. Louis Senior High School. Later in life, Sharon moved to St. Paul, Minnesota. She found employment with Bridge View and Crossroads Elementary in St. Paul.

Sharon united with the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses. She was preceded in death by her father, John A. Hoyle, three brothers, Corinth White, Johnny Hoyle and Rodney Allen Lee Richards and nephew, Michael L. Williams.

Sharon departed this life on Thursday, April 6, 2017. She leaves to cherish her memory her mother, Dottie M. Hunt-Stewart; son, Derrick L. Powell, Jr.; daughter, Breonna S. Powell; granddaughters, Nehelayah and Nehetaliah Powell; six sisters, Barbara L. White, Veronica M. Grant-Stewart, Michelle D. "Pebbles" Stewart, Latunya L. Richards, Kathey T. Williams-Richards and Martisha S. Stewart; brother, James Hoyle; a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins
