Samuel L. Davis was born to Sam E. George and Georgia Rosetta Davis on November 19, 2020 in East St. Louis, Illinois. He departed February 12, 2020 in St. Louis, Missouri.

Samuel grew up and excelled in local schools and particularly in music. He learned to play the piano and organ and would each year for Christmas play a Christian song for the family, then smile.

Affectionally known as Sammy, the Lord came into his life at an early age, and although afflicted lifelong with an illness, his faith and love of family never wavered. He loved to attend church.

Other siblings preceded him in death: four sisters; Elizabeth Jones, Peola Smith, Mildred Davis and Helen Peppers; one brother-in-law Frank Peppers.

Samuel bids farewell to three dedicated nephews, Dr. F. J. Peppers, and Elliot and Alexander Peppers, and a host of other dedicated family members, cousins, neighbors and friends.
