Robbin Lorraine Higgins was born to John Jenkins and Barbara J. Jenkins in St. Louis, MO on December 23, 1955 . She was raised in the East St. Louis area.  Robbin was educated in School District #189, graduating from East St. Louis Sr. High School. She confessed a hope in Christ at an early age and united with Pilgrim Temple C.M.E. Church in East St. Louis, IL. Robbin united in wedlock with Lawrence Edward Higgins on April 10, 1989 .

During her working years, Robbin was employed as a cook and dietician.  Her employment included Beauvais Manor in St. Louis, Missouri and in Springfield, Illinois from which she retired when her health began to fail.  She returned home in 2009.

Robbin loved spending time with her family and cooking for them.  One of her culinary delights was her potato salad.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Higgins, her two children, Shanette Stepney and Isaiah Golden, and her two brothers.

Robbin departed this life on February 16, 2019. She leaves to cherish her memory her son Fredericho Jenkins; 9 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; siblings, Kim Jones, Pam Jenkins, Dujan Raby, Salamisha Dessaline, Buddy Dessaline, Assata Dessaline and Diamond Dessaline; special sister, Karen Burch;  and a host of other relatives and friends.
