Obituary

Mr. Richard Stewart was born on May 25, 1957 to Mr. Lundy Gunn and Ms. Juanita Stewart in Saint Louis, Missouri. His father, Lundy Gunn, Mother Juanita Stewart, Sister Julia Gunn, Brother Michael Gunn, Father In-law, Melvin C. Connors Sr., Mother In-Law Dr. Alice Stewart and Bishop Arthur O. Stewart, and Brother In-Law Melvin C. Connors, proceeded him in death.

Mr. Richard Stewart graduated from Beaumont High School in June 1975. He worked in several capacities before acquiring an assembly journeyman with Chrysler Corporation in Fenton Missouri. He served admirably and retired from Chrysler upon the Fenton Plant closing. In 2009 he met the love of his life Delphya and so began the journey of love, ecstasy and adventure.   This was truly a union orchestrated from heaven because Richard was exactly what Delphya needed as she assumed her new role as Pastor of Charity Apostolic Church of East St. Louis, Illinois.

In addition to helping with the ministry and supporting the church that he loved and served faithfully, he spent a lot of time with his wife, children and grandchildren because he knew one day they would be his legacy, this was Richard his passion and contribution to the world. In February 2018 Richard completed his Associated (CDA) Essential Course in Early Childhood Development to better serve his family.

Richard was truly a jovial and loving brother to strangers and friends alike and enjoyed bus trips and fellowship experiences that he often took pleasure in before becoming a baptized believer in Christ.   Under the pastorate of Dr. Alice Stewart, Richard was confessed a trust and love for Jesus with all his heart and soul. Later, he was Baptize at Unity of Faith Apostolic Fellowship.

He leaves to cherish his passing, a faithful wife Pastor Delphya Stewart, four daughters Delphya Y.(Marlon)Trimble, Melaney (Dean)Coleman, Ava A. Coleman, Avis E. Coleman, Grandson Johnathan, Nicholas, Brandon, Nehemiah, Meliah, Alice, Noah, Nolan, Elana, and Delphya. (Sister's) Lenora Simon, Anita Stewart (Brother) Lundy (Rose) Stewart, (Sister In-Law) Iola (David) Hall, (Brother In-Law) Terence Dawn) Connors, (Special Aunt) Anna Bell, (Best Friend) Mr. Michael Caroll, (Part Time Caretaker Audrey Hollis and a host of family and friends.
