On a bright morning, May 8, 1967 , Randy Lamar McCallum Jr ., affectionately known as "Rambo," was born to Randell and Bonnie McCallum in Centreville, Illinois.

Randy accepted Christ as his personal Savior in his late age. He attended public school in East Saint Louis, Illinois. He graduated from East Saint Louis Senior High School.

He continued his education and received his Associate's Degree in Business Management at Belleville Area College and received several certificates of completions in different trades.

Randy McCallum and Gwendolyn Cole were united in Holy Matrimony on July 20, 1996 in Alorton, Illinois at St. John Baptist Church. Pastor Charles Malone officially joined them as one.

Randy was very active in his community. He was Vice President of Youth 2000 of Centreville Township. He served seven years on the Zoning Board, Trustee for three years and the organizer of the first Hoop It Up with cash prizes. He was also Police Commissioner for four years and was Mayor of Alorton for eight years.

Randy loved the sports football, basketball and Blackjack in his pastime. He loved to take his leisure boat out to Carlyle Lake. Randy loved spending time with his family. He always wanted to sponsor cookouts and taking family trips was his passion.

Randy enjoyed spending quality time with his granddaughter, Dariyah Kidd. She was his pride and joy. He always made sure she had everything and anything she wanted or needed. His saying was "That's my heart and the sky has no limit for her. She is going to be somebody one day because she's so smart and beautiful."

Randy was called home to be with the Lord on Tuesday evening on November 30, 2021 at Barnes Jewish Hospital.

His father, Randell McCallum preceded him in death.

A precious one from us is gone. A voice we loved to hear is stilled. A voice is vacant in our home which can never be filled. God in His wisdom hath recalled the one His love has given. Your body slumbers here, but  the soul is saved in Heaven. Never bye Randy, but "See you later."
