Quintley Gamond Burrell was born on March 11, 1974 to Fedora Whitley (Burrell) and Donald Daniels in East Saint Louis IL. Quintley was often referred to as "Mony" by his friends and family.

Quintley was raised in East Saint Louis and educated in the East Saint Louis public school system. He professed a belief in Christ at an early age and united with the Assembly of God Church in Washington Park, IL.

Quintley loved listening to old school rap music, particularly Tupac and Ice Cube, so much that as he grew into adulthood he monikered himself as "Ice Q". As an adult, he obtained employment as a laborer at local junk and pallet yards.

Quintley was preceded in death by his father, Donald Daniels, his baby sister, Latanya Burrell; stepfather, Jerry Whitley, Sr., and aunts, Constance Griffin and Linda Burrell.

On November 9, 2023 , God decided it was time for Quintley to leave behind the troubles of this world and take his rest. He leaves to cherish his memory his only child, Quinnecia Burrell of Pacific, MO; his mother, Fedora Whitley of East Saint Louis, IL; 4 brothers, Lance Burrell and Keith Burrell of Cahokia Heights, IL, Donald Burrell of VA, and Jerry (Lindsay) Whitley Jr. of Quincy, IL; 1 sister, Fedora Young of Edwardsville, IL; 11 nephews, 6 nieces, 1 great nephew, 1 uncle, 6 aunts, and a host of cousins and friends.
