Percy Anderson was born one of four children to William and Mary Anderson on September 3, 1945. He confessed Christ at an early age and was baptized at Morning Star Baptist Church He attended school in the East St Louis District 189 and graduated from Lincoln High School.

After graduating, he entered the working world. Percy was a hard worker and faithful employee until retirement. He was a lifetime resident of East St. Louis, Illinois and Belleville, Illinois.

He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Shirley Hider; brothers, Willie Anderson and Tyrone Anderson Sr.

Mr. Percy Anderson departed this life on Friday, January 19, 2024 at Swansea Rehab Center and Hospice. His memory will be cherished by his wife, Edria Whitson, nieces, Lovita N. Williams of Belleville, IL, Cassandra (Kenneth) Graham of Atlanta, GA, Charisse (Kenneth)  Montgomery and Fran Streater of Belleville, IL; nephew, Tyrone Anderson Jr., of Belleville, IL, and a host of other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
