Patricia Ann Perkins (Pat) , the third of seven siblings was born to the union of William and Claire Barnes on November 1, 1952 in St. Louis, MO. Preceding her in death: husband, Michael Perkins, her father, mother, one brother Carvette Deville Barnes and one bonus son Deyon Perkins.

Patricia (affectionately called "Trish (Ann)" by her family) confessed a hope in Christ at an early age with membership at Parks Chapel AME Church in Centreville, IL. She united with Christ the Cornerstone Church in DeSoto, Texas and was a faithful member and devoted Sunday School teacher.

Patricia married Michael Perkins, the love of her life on September 29, 1990. Mike's unconditional love for "Pat" extended to their children, grandchildren and the entire family.

Patricia accomplished her dream of becoming a nurse, graduating valedictorian of her nursing class. She took great pride in being a nurse, providing loving care and leadership. She was a well-respected nurse and teacher.

Patricia also found joy in crafting, candle making, and connecting with her children, grandchildren and family members.

Patricia was a woman of strength, courage and determination. Overcoming an aggressive cancer, she relocated to Illinois, where she planned to live out her days, but God called her to rest and restoration  sooner than any of us expected. She transitioned on January 17, 2022 , surrounded by her loving family.
