Odie Lamont Dones, Jr. was born to the union of Odie L. Dones, Sr. and Annie L. Dones on October 25, 1983 in East St. Louis, Illinois.  Odie was the youngest of three children.  Odie attended school in District 189.

Later, Odie was united in Holy Matrimony to Jaye P. Collins on July 25, 2014.

Odie was employed by Meineke Car Care Center at a young age.  Odie worked for the company for more than 10 years.  One of Odie's passions was racing cars with his father and family.  Odie recently became a member of Holy Cross Church of East St. Louis, IL.  Odie loved his family and church family dearly.

On Tuesday, July 23, 2019, Odie went home to be with the Lord.  Odie was preceded in death by his father, Odie L. Dones, Sr.; grandparents, Lucious and Leana Dones, and his grandmother, Corine Fort-Moore.

ODIE LAMONT DONES , departed this life on July 23, 2019 in Centreville, IL.  He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Jaye P. Collins; children, Jimicah (Tappy) Dones and Jewel Scroggins; mother, Annie Dones; sisters, Rosalind Rodgers and Santosh (Renaldo) Brownlee; nephews, Jahkeese Rodgers, Keon Dotts, Kiersen Dones and Kaylon Dones; nieces, Layliyah Dones and ReKihya Brownlee and a host of other relatives and friends.
