Montrez Ramon Jones was born on January 2, 1982 in Centreville, Illinois to Yolanda "Bae Ba" Jones and Donald "Doc" Shamble. He was the first grandchild to Ronella and Oliver Jones, Sr. He loved holding the title of only child; though it was short lived by the birth of his sister and eldest daughter of Yolanda, he always retained the privileges of being the first born/oldest. Montrez accepted Christ at an early age and was known to return to his roots in anyone's time of need.

Trez or "Dirt", as he was sometimes called, spent his formative years involved in many sports including baseball and basketball. Trez started his educational journey in the Belleville School District at Whiteside Elementary and moved onto East Saint Louis School District 189, where he went to Dunbar and Park Annex. He gracefully transitioned into the infamous Clark Junior High, where he honed his charisma and began making life-long friends. This is when he learned how to speak with his gorgeous brown eyes. He went to East Saint Louis Senior High School briefly before relocating with his mother and siblings to Milwaukee, Wisconsin graduating from Custer High School.

In the winter of 2009, he met his fiancé, Angela, whom he affectionately called "Stank". Through this union they raised his beautiful daughter Alexis, who he referred to as "Baby", into adulthood. Dirt was the life of ANYBODY'S party and loved to have a good time. He would often say, "hangin in the streets with is brothers", where he would enjoy his spirits and a gentleman's wager. He also loved to chat with his siblings over the phone about the many Sunday dinners they had and would prepare.

He was preceded in death by his mother, father, grandparents, one brother, Brandon Shamble and uncle, Oliver Jones, Jr. He is survived by: his fiance ~ Angela "Stank" Buchholtz of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; daughter; Alexis "Baby" Buchholtz of Milwaukke, Wisconsin; siblings ~ Donovan Shamble of McKinney, Texas, Sean Kendricks of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Brittany Humphries of Belleville, Illinois, Patrick Humphries of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Kadijiha Jones of Atlanta, Georgia, Xavier Jones of Milwaukee, Wisconsin and Savya Phillips of Hazelwood, Missouri; uncles ~ Patrick (Kim) Jones of Hazelwood, Missouri and Clifford Jones of East Saint Louis, Illinois; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
