Minnie R. Jefferies was born to Fred Douglas and Lucille Jefferies on July 27, 1937 in Louisville, Kentucky.  Minnie moved to East St. Louis, Illinois in 1944 and received her education in School District 189.

Minnie united with St. Mark Missionary Baptist Church in East St. Louis, Illinois.  She departed this life on November 23, 2019 in Belleville, Illinois.

Minnies leaves to cherish her memory, her daughter, Janice Jefferies; sons, Keith Ward and Douglas Jefferies;  special children, Ann Robinson, Anthony Robinson and William Word;  one aunt, Mary Harris;  granddaughter, Ja-Tina Lee and a host of cousins and friends.
