Millie Christine Peoples was born on September 17, 1928 in
Trenton, Arkansas to the late Matt and Elizabeth Wallace. She was
the youngest child of nine children.

She confessed a hope in Christ as a born again Christian under the
pastorate and leadership of the late Reverend Sherman Glover and
joined Rising Star Missionary Baptist Church in St. Louis, Missouri.
She later joined Christian Love Missionary Baptist Church in St. Louis,
Missouri under the leadership of Pastor Larry Boyd. She served on
the Mother Board of the church.

Millie Christine Peoples was a true matriarch for her family.
Many children who grew up around her often referred to her as
"momma". She freely gave of herself and would help anyone in her

to her family. She also worked for a short time as a custodian at
Gateway Hotel in St. Louis, Missouri in the early 70's and as an

time in the early 80's. Her lifetime will be cherished as her memory
will be with all of us for years to come.

She was united in Holy Matrimony to the late James C. Peoples Sr.
on April 5, 1951 and to this union ten (10) children was born. Four
sons, James Jr., Derrick, Danny, and Carlos Peoples preceded her in
death as well as two daughters, Kathy and Vanessa Peoples. Her
first born grandson Joseph N. Marshall-Peoples Sr. and Godson
Wardell Williams also preceded her in death. All nine of the
immediate Wallace siblings now rest in the Kingdom: Frank, Samuel,
David, Joe, Reesie, Marie, Mary and Sarah.
