Mildred Louise Haley was born on December 15, 1939 in Ashdown, Arkansas to Isaac Haley and Ella Baux. Both parents preceded her in death.

She confessed a hope in Christ at an early age. Mildred graduated from Douglass High School and State Community College. She moved to the metro-east in 1957.

While living here, Mildred united with Calvary Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Ramone Collins, Sr.

With her nursing skills, Mildred was able to find employment with Brooklyn School District.

Mildred was an avid card player and instilled the value of education in her children.

She departed this life on Tuesday, December 27, 2016 in Touchette Regional Hospital. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Debra.

She leaves to cherish her memory: her three sons ~ Eugene of St. Louis, Missouri and Robert and Gordon of Cincinnati, Ohio; six grandchildren; three great grandchildren; three sisters ~ Linda Borders, Delores "Jean" Bruce and Laronna Haley of Chicago; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
