Mildred Denice Anderson was born in New York City on November 24, 1962 to the union of Ruth M. Anderson nee Mayes and Wilbur Louis Mayes Sr..  They had five children all together. Mildred found Christ at an early age.

Mildred received an associates degree in Liberal Arts at State Community College in East. Saint. Louis, IL. . Mildred loved to write and read poetry as well as sewing, crocheting, and singing. She was really a special person who loved cooking as well as eating food.

Mildred was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Willie James Mayes Sr. and Sara A. Mayes, Jhon Anderson, Flora Anderson, her father, Wilbur Louis Mayes Sr.; uncle and aunt; Thurman, and Flora Wilson and sister Janita Y. Mayes.

Mildred departed this life on May 4, 2020 . Mildred is survived by her mother, Ruth M Mayes; brothers, Wilbur Louis Mayes Jr, Mario D. Mayes;  sister,  Lisa L. Mayes; aunts, Jenice Anderson, Gertrude Dunlap and Phyllis Mayes;  uncles Harvie Anderson, Henery, and , Larry Mayes;  great aunt, Ethel Lee Warren, and a host of cousins.
