A wonderful event occurred on August 25, 1959 in the lives of Willie Simpson and Elizabeth Pirtle.  The Lord blessed their union with Michael Anthony Simpson . Michael was born in Memphis, Tennessee.  He grew up there and attended Rock Junior High School. Michael moved to the metro-east area in August 1970.

On Monday, June 10, 2019 , Michael departed this life. He reunited with his father, Willie Simpson; mother, Elizabeth Pirtle; brother, Tommy Lee Simpson and sister, Sheila M. Simpson.

Michael leaves to cherish his memory brothers, Willie Simpson Jr. (Martha), Charles E. Simpson, Michael J. Simpson; sisters, Betty Jean Simpson (Collins, MS), Tejuana W. Simpson and Brenda G. Simpson and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
