Mary Gossett was born on March 30, 1940 in Monroe, Mississippi to the union of Floyd and Elvora (Sutton) Sargent.   Both of her parents preceded her in death.

She departed this life on Sunday, July 22, 2018 in St. Louis, Missouri.  She leaves to cherish her memory her children, Steve Jethroe, Bonita Jethroe, Jo Ann Jethroe Jones, Yvette Jethroe and Kenneth Gossett;  10 grandchildren;  one sister, Toni Brown;   numerous other family members and friends.
