Marvin Dorris Sr. was born to Edward and Johnnie Price on July 16, 1962 in East St. Louis, Illinois.  He was the second of eight children.

Marvin was a very outgoing and energetic person who was always on the go.  When he became a paraplegic he did not let that stop him from being an outgoing person.  Marvin  graduated from Lincoln Senior High School.

Marvin started working with Compass Food Services in St. Louis, Missouri.  He received a couple of awards, including employee of the month until he became unable to continue working.  Marvin was preceded in death by his parents, one son, one daughter, two brothers and a nephew.

Marvin leaves to cherish his memories, two sons, Marvin Dorris Jr. and DeMarcus Dorris; daughter, Tiffany Dorris all of East St. Louis; three sisters, Lunetha (Norman) Stuart of Centreville, IL, Priscilla Price of Collinsville, IL and Sherita (Perry) Sims of Cahokia, IL; two brothers, Donald Price and Edward Dorris both of East St. Louis, IL; four grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.  Marvin will truly be missed by all.
