Obituary

Martin Rosson III was born to the union of Lillie & Martin Rosson Jr. on July 2, 1947 in St. Louis, MO at St. Mary's infirmary. He attended Garfield Carver School on Goose Hill; he also attended Rock Jr. High school and E. St. Louis Sr. High school where he graduated in 1965. Martin later attended Lincoln University in Jefferson City, MO, and graduated from State Community College. Martin loved sports, music, and dancing. He loved his nieces and nephews dearly.

Martin worked at Hunter Packing, Southern Railroad, the City of Laurel, MS and for the Housing Authority of Laurel, MS. As a child Martin received Christ and joined Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church on Second Street on Goose Hill. Martin was loved by many and was known as Big Cheese.

Martin was preceded in death by his mother, Lillie Beatrice Rosson, his father, Martin Rosson Jr., and two brothers, William Rosson and John Wesley Jones.

Martin leaves to cherish his memory, a devoted sister, Marilyn Rosson Phillips, Virginia Barfield, Elizabeth Freeman, Juanita Brame-Hamilton, Mary Williams, Patricia Audrey, Lillie (Tommie) Townsend, Richard (Rosetta) Taylor, Bennie Spears, Charles (Sandra) Rives, and a host of nieces, nephews and friends and a special great nephew, his name sake Martin Boey.
