Margie Key Jordan was born to the union of Ernest Clarence Key and Jessie Davis Key on August 1, 1921. She was raised in Mounds, Illinois and after graduating from Mounds Public Schools moved to East St. Louis where she resided for many years and raised her children. Margie was employed by McDonald Douglas Aircraft in St. Louis, Missouri and subsequently East St. Louis School District 189 until she retired from there in the year 1999 at the age of 76.
She was the youngest of three children and was preceded in death by her parents, brother Hugh Clarence Key, sister Gladys Louise Jones and husbands Bruce Jordan and Jim Williams.
Margie professed a belief in God at an early age and at the time of her death she was a member of House of Prayer to All Nations in Washington Park, Illinois.
She is survived by her three children: Don L. (Hulda Blamoville) Allen, Lisa M. (Tyrone) Sumrall, Mia L. Williams; grandchildren: Darryl Smith, Claudine Allen, Don Claude Allen, Andrew J. Williams,, Anthony J. Williams, Gerald L. (Ashley) Williams; one niece Audrey Moore and one nephew, Michael Tyrone (Gwen) Key; two great grand children and a host of other relatives and friends
