Lue Alice Wright was born on May 18, 1942 in St. Louis, MO to the union of Earmon and Virginia Triplett, Sr. The family moved to the metro east area, where Lue Alice grew up and received her education through School District #189. She accepted Jesus Christ United Baptist Church, where she was an active member, enjoying going to church, until her health started failing her.

Lue Alice loved to cook. And she loved to take care of others. In her younger days, she could be found in her garden. Lue Alice also loved spending time with her family.

Lue Alice made her transition on Sunday, February 14, 2021. She was the last of her siblings. She was preceded in death by her two sisters, Marletta Evans and Irene Humphrey and her brothers, Harold Humphrey and Earmon Triplett, Jr. She leaves to cherish her memories her daughters, India Monroe of Bloomington, IL and Tresa Turner of East Cahokia; 10 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, other relatives, church family and friends
