Lovely Lontae Jefferson was born on November 28, 1984 in Lake Providence, Louisiana to the union of William and Gertie Jefferson Carroll. Lovely obtained his education through District 189 in East St. Louis, Illinois.
Lovely accepted Christ at an early age and became a member of Union Full Gospel Baptist Church in East St. Louis, Illinois. Lovely lived a beautiful life. He was blessed with multiple talents, in his life on earth. Those talents included gardening, landscaping, singing, and a heart of gold. He would do anything to put a smile on a person's face. He was also an all out sportsman. He was very athletic. He enjoyed playing basketball, baseball and going to the Cardinal baseball games. But his most passionate sport was "boxing".
Lovely became a well known boxer in East St. Louis, where he earned the nickname " gloves ", because of his fierce punch to his opponent. People called him " King of the ring ". Lovely always kept a huge beautiful smile on his face and devoted himself to his beautiful children and family.
Lovely departed this life on August 16, 2018 . He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Willie Lee Carroll, Sr, M.L. and Lena Jefferson Smith, two aunts, Lillie Jefferson and Ethel Harris and three uncles, Cornell, Kenzie and Michael Jefferson.
He leaves to cherish his memory, two children, his son, Lontae Jefferson and daughter, Nevaeh Jefferson; his parents, William and Gertie Jefferson Carroll; three sisters, Gwendolyn, Kawonica and Marlena Jefferson; one brother, William "Rooster" Jefferson, grandmother, Martha Stewart; and a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends; and a special best friend, Darell Smith.
