Mr. Lovell Fennoy, Sr. passed away peacefully under the watchful and loving care of his family in East St. Louis, IL on June 10, 2022.
Lovell Sr. 'Big Vell', was the youngest of five children born to William 'Butch' Fennoy Jr. and Gladys Stennis-Fennoy on October 31, 1948.
Lovell Sr. was a lifelong resident of East St. Louis, IL and a graduate of Lincoln Sr. High School. He attended Southern Illinois University - Edwardsville. Lovell retired from East St. Louis School District #189 as a Master Carpenter and was a member of the local union.
An avid community interest person, Lovell was a permanent volunteer with the: East St. Louis Railer's Track and Field team, Jackie Joyner-Kersee Community Center, and South End Social Group. He was also a coach of the Lincoln High School Girl's Basketball team and Jackie Robinson Khoury League.
Lovell Fennoy, Sr. leaves to cherish his memory: one son, Lovell (Terrien) Fennoy, Jr. of Fairview Heights, IL; granddaughters, Myrycale (Jeremy) Danziger, Sr. of O'Fallon, IL, and Tierra Fennoy of Fairview Heights, IL; one great grandson, Jeremy Danziger, Jr; sisters, Carmen Fennoy-Moody of West Palm Beach, FL and Narmen Fennoy-Hunter of Fairview Heights, IL; brothers, William H. (Martha) Fennoy and Nino (Bernice) Fennoy of East St. Louis, IL; aunt, Inez Stennis-Haynes of Detroit, MI; and goddaughter, Staci Holt-Coates of Bolingbrook, IL. In addition, he leaves a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, and other family, friends, and neighbors.
