Obituary

Louise M. Phillips-Land was born March 13, 1942 in East St. Louis, IL. to the union of K.C. and Donie Phillips.  They resided in the area known as "Goose Hill."

Louise was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Lenoff  Land, Sr., son, Lenoff Land, Jr., three brothers, Robert Charles, John Frank and Charles Phillips.

On June 11, 1960, Louise married the love of her life,  Lenoff Land, Sr. and to this union three children were born.

Louise was employed with Hunter Packing Co until its closing in 1980, she proceeded employment with Pfizer Elements in East St. Louis until her retirement in 2002.

Louise was a faithful member of Southern Mission Baptist Church. Louise greatest love was worshiping God with her church family.

Her beautiful smile and giving heart will truly be missed.  She loved to fish, shop and travel with her church family.  She was fun and loving and expressed her love for life however she pleased.

On Tuesday, February 16, 2021 at 11:38am, Louise Land commonly known as "Weezy, Lou or Mee-Maw" heard the Voice of Jesus and answered His call at Memorial Hospital in Belleville, Illinois.

She leaves to cherish her precious memories: daughters, Tamera Land-Pitts (Darin) of Fairview Heights, IL and Kimberley Land-Hopkins (Gerald) of Centreville, IL; two grandchildren Kierra Jones of Collinsville, IL and Darin (Jazmine) Pitts of Reno, Nevada; one great granddaughter Dahiya Pitts of Reno, Nevada and host of cousins, nieces, nephews, friends, Goosier and special friend Joe Temple and family.

God saw the road was getting rough,  the hills were hard to climb

He gently closed those loving eyes and whispered, "Peace Be Thine"
