Louise Marie (Bailey) was born March 4, 1937, in Fireworks Station Illinois.  She was the youngest of four children born to the union of William and Bernice Bailey. Louise was preceded in death by her parents: William & Bernice Bailey, sister Jacqueline Nance, son Michael Boyd.

She was a proud alum of the Brooklyn Love-Joy School District.  She received an Associate's Degree from State Community College.  She had a strong passion for education, as she worked as a substitute teacher for several years.  She was a proud member of Gamma Phi Delta Sorority Incorporated, Gamma Epsilon Chapter.

Louise was a very well-respected business owner at Boyd's Liquor Store.  She also worked as an insurance agent and manager with Supreme Life Insurance Company and American National Insurance Company for over thirty years.  After retirement, she enjoyed working as a Blackjack Dealer on the Casino Queen.  She also worked as an AARP Work Search Coordinator, where she was recognized by the state of Illinois for recruiting and securing employment for over 300 senior citizen job seekers within one year.

Louise was a very witty, and spirited woman. She lived boldly and had a way with words and people. She loved to laugh and have a good time.  Louise often planned family dinners and enjoyed directing her son to host Bid Whiz with family and friends.  She had a special bond with her 5 up card club members.  She never met a stranger as she quickly sparked up lively conversations on a moment's notice.  There was never a dull moment when Louise was around.

She leaves to cherish her memory: beloved husband Walter D. Boyd Jr, (East St. Louis, IL); her loving children: Casterdaral (Eunice) Matory Sr. (Swansea, IL), Deanna (Damon) Brooks (Marlene, AL), Constance Matory-Austin (Swansea, IL), Walter Boyd III (East St. Louis, IL), Johnny (Elisha) Boyd (Springfield, IL), Henrietta Boyd (East St. Louis, IL) and Robert Boyd (East St. Louis, IL); her devoted grandchildren: Bernetta Louise Matory, Bernita Louise (JoSunda Sr.) Matory- Lister, Casterdaral Matory Jr., Adam Michael Austin, Micah Marie Austin, Devin Nicholas Brooks, Ryan Michael Boyd, Chase Anthony Boyd, Carson Samuel Boyd, Raegan Skye Boyd and Rylee Michelle Boyd,; adoring Great-grandchildren: JoSunda Sean Jr., Elle Amiyah, and Josiah Casterdaral, and protective loving siblings, sister Elouise Edwards (Swansea, IL) and brother Lloyd (Phyliss) Bailey (Chicago, IL) and special sister, Versa Williams (Chicago, IL).  She shared a special lifelong bond with her warm-hearted cousins along with the numerous family and friends, too many to name, united by love whom she held dear in heart.
