Loretta Telford was born on November 5, 1960 in Chicago, Illinois to Doreatha Phifer and Neil Young.  She was brought to St. Louis, Missouri at a very young age and attended Vashon Senior High School.

Loretta bore three daughters and she loved them all very much.  She became ill and could no longer take care of them, so she did what she thought was right and gave them to people, she thought would love and care for them.

Loretta loved old school music.  She wasn't a dancer, but she would sway to the beat of the music.

Loretta departed this life on Monday, April 8, 2019 .  She joined her brother, Joseph Phifer who preceded her in death.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her mother, Doreatha Phifer;  her daughters, Tarlitha Lowell-Willis, Carlitha Evans Sullivan Telford and Angela Telford;  numerous grandchildren;  9 brothers and sisters, Orvin, Diane, Burnis, Bernard, Wanda (Arnold), Reatha (Robert), LaTonya, and JoAnn; a host of other relatives and friends.
