Lontez Joseph Curtis Booth Sr. was born on April 1, 1972 in Benton Harbor, Michigan to Billy Gunn and Gwendolyn Booth. The family later moved to East St. Louis, Illinois in 1978.

Lontez received his formal education in East St. Louis School District #189.

Lontez loved to cook, make jokes, dance, and most of all spending time with his family.

Lontez was preceded in death by his mother, Gwendolyn Booth, brother, Anthony Booth, nephew, Ivory Newbern, and grandfather, Andrew Booth.

Lontez departed this life on May 25, 2025. He leaves to cherish his loving memory his three sons, Lontez Booth, Jr., Martez Booth, and Lindell Taylor; two daughters, Lontasia Booth and Shontez Booth; his sister, Teneshia Booth along with six stepchildren, 11 grandchildren, five nieces, one nephew, and a host of uncles, aunts, and other relatives.
