Linda Johnson in New Madrid, Missouri Nelson and Hattie Mae Johnson on June 10th 1965. Linda was preceeded in death by her father, niece Teangela Johnson and nephew Daniel Hand. Linda graduated from Elkhart Central High School in New Madrid. She confessed a hope in Christ at the Church of God in Christ.
Linda moved to East St. Louis in August of 1999. She resided with David Hunter, Jr. While living in the Metro East area, Linda became a member of the Church of God in Christ Congregational in Granite City, IL.
On Wednesday, January 11, 2017, our Lord and savior Jesus Christ called Linda Johnson to rest. It is stated in Revelation 14:13 Then I heard a voice from heaven say, write this: blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on. Yes says the spirit, they will rest from their labor, for their deeds will follow them.
Linda Johnson leaves to cherish her memory her mother Hattie Mae Johnson, her daughter Hannah Blackman and her son Samuel Hand Linda also leaves her brothers Kevin Johnson, Curtis Johnson, David Johnson, and Theron Johnson; and sisters Renea Bowling Johnson, Stephanie Johnson, and Gloria Johnson, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
