Mr. Leroy Washington Jr. was born on April 18, 1950 in Money Mississippi, the son of Mr. & Mrs. Leroy Sr and Willie Mae Washington. Leroy accepted Christ at an early age at Union Baptist Church in East St. Louis, IL. He went home to be with the Lord on January 20, 2022 while at Mercy Rehab & Care Center in Swansea, IL.

Leroy received his formal education in the East St. Louis Illinois School System from elementary to high school. Shortly after graduation, he was drafted into the United States Army, and served February 26, 1969 until January 5, 1972, where he received an Honorable Discharge. That same year, Leroy began employment with Union Electric, and worked until his retirement in February of 2003 as a Senior Boiler Operator. As life continued, he was united in Holy Matrimony to Deborah Nash in 1984.
