On May 29th, 1955, Mr. Leroy Pirtle was born to James C. and Ruby (Perry) Pirtle. He confessed his life to Christ at an early age uniting with Holy Olivette M.B. Church in East St. Louis, Illinois. He attended Lincoln Sr. High School. Leroy retired after employment as a maintenance and security man at Gatewood (Peggy) Barbershop in East St. Louis, Illinois.

Leroy is preceded in death by his wife, Doris Pirtle, his parents, 3 brothers, and 4 sisters.

Leroy departed this life on April 11, 2026. He is survived by his two brothers, Osie Pirtle and Rudell Pirtle both of Washington Park, Illinois; two sisters, Margaret Pirtle and Lillian Pirtl, both of Belleville, Illinois, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and associates.
