Laura Mae Davis, most known as "Mae" was born November 27, 1944 in Money, Mississippi to Tommie and Willie Davis. Laura was the fourth of twelve children she was preceded in death by her parents and brothers Tommie, Walter, Louis, Dennis. Her special long-time friend Lester Adam also preceded her in death. She was blessed with one daughter. Laura confessed her life to Christ in 1973 at Union Baptist Church.
Laura's most enjoyable moments was playing cards and babysitting her nieces and nephews who considered her a second mom. She was a legendary auntie known to her family as "Scrooge"
On Wednesday July 31 st , 2019 Laura Davis ended this amazing journey which she had fought for. She leaves to cherish her memories, a daughter, Martha Spivey; four grandchildren, Cynthia, Latoya, Shemeka, Kemo; and 11 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. She has 6 sisters Cora Lee Davis, Ruthie Pollard, Albretha Miller, Wardine (John) Cary, Louise (Charles) Richardson, and Bessie Goodman; one sister-in-law, Lillie Davis. She has a host of nieces and nephews, great and great-great-grandnieces and nephews.
