Obituary

Larry Jerome Williams was born to the union of Earnest Barnes and Patricia Elizabeth Williams on April 11, 1960 in Centreville, Illinois. Both of his parents preceded him in death.

Larry confessed a hope in Christ at Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Church in Alorton, Illinois. He received his education in the East St. Louis Public School District #189.

Larry enjoyed his family, friends and loved skating. An excellent artist who was known for the saying, "What's the word, thunderbird? What's the price, say it twice." Larry enjoyed cooking and taught each of his girls how to skate.  Their task was to clean the basketball  court off prior to him teaching them how to skate. If they didn't do a good job they risked the possibility of falling on broken glass. It motivated them to stay up on their skates just in case they didn't do it right. (A lesson learned). He was a self-taught artist and did a drawing in his home in architect form in three dimensions. His family was so proud of his special abilities and God-given talents. Memories of him will never be forgotten.

He leaves to cherish his memory two daughters, Monique Williams (Finley McCoy) and Linda (Melvin) Wilson; siblings, Freddie Williams, Ruby (Wendell) Cox, Lendell Williams, Ernest Williams, Betty (John) Lyons, Donna Chambers, Claude (Robin) Williams; nine grandchildren, Dajai, Demontay, Jordan McNamee, Raven, Ravion, Amina McCoy, KeAundrez Collins, Paris Poole, Kendell Williams, KeMaurion Russell; one great-grandson, Dakarai Hunter; special friends, Lorna McGee and Fred Pruitt and a host of other  relatives and friends  who will miss him dearly.
