Mr. Larry Jones (Fuzzy) was born on March 13th, 1950 in Centreville, Illinois to the proud union of Mr. George W. Jones Sr. and Annie Q. (Jackson) Jones. He was preceded in death by both parents, his brother George W. Jones Jr., his sister Mrs. Sophia Dunn and a daughter Mrs. Diane Washington.
Larry Jones received his education in the public-school system. He received many awards and a scholarship for playing basketball in high school. Mr. Jones was a longtime member of the Mitchell Tabernacle CME church in Centreville IL. Larry Jones enjoyed working and barbecuing for his family and friends on a regular basis. He was proud of his family and friends to say, "Fuzzy know he can cook on that pit." He loved his family and friends and would do anything he could to help one out in a time of need. Mr. Jones worked at Cerro Copper/Cerro flow products in Sauget, IL. He had been employed there since 1968 for 50 years, he was no stranger to hard work. Larry would tell his children to go to work and pay your bills on time.
Mr. Jones leaves to cherish his memories with his loving wife of over twenty years Margaret B. Jones, six children; Larry Jones Jr. Of Centreville, IL, Harriet Jones of Belleville, IL, Mario (Kelly) Jones of Fairview Heights, IL, Raven Jones of Fairview Heights, IL, Langston (Candice) Jones of Belleville, IL, Langdia Jones of Cahokia, IL.
He also leaves his siblings William E. (Debra) Jones of East St. Louis, IL, Annie Keeley of Centreville IL, Gloria (Jerome) Dampier of St. Louis, Mo. Mr. Jones leaves a Mother in-law Pollie A. Wright, one son in law Kenneth Washington, four sisters-in-law; Katie (Larry) Williams of Memphis, Tennessee, Mary cook of Centreville, IL, Lisa (Lamar) Pickett of Belleville, IL, Karen (Jerome) Randle of Belleville IL. Six brothers-in-law; John (Gerline) Wright of St. Louis, Mo, Joe (Karen) Wright of Cahokia, IL, Melvin (Rita) Wright of Collinsville, IL. Marvin (Nicole) Wright of Swansea, IL, Johnnie (Carolyn) Wright of Centreville, IL, Frederick (Michelle) Wright of O'Fallon, IL. Fifteen Grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
