Larry
Coleman
Feb 7, 1969 — Nov 7, 2020
Larry V. Coleman Sr. (a.k.a. Turk) was born on February 7, 1969 to the union of Ronald E. Coleman and Jacqueline Rogers. Larry was the oldest of three children. He was loved by many and liked by all. His memory will forever live in our hearts.
He is preceded in death by his parents Ronald E. Coleman and Jacqueline Rogers, grandparents Hershel and Annie T. Scroggins, cousins Pamela, Ernest and Donald Houston, uncles Carl E. and Hershel Scroggins Jr., father-in-law Bishop Edward L. Vinson Sr., and nephew Keirson Coleman.
He confessed a hope in Jesus Christ and was baptized on August 20, 2017 under the leadership of Pastor Billy Brownlee. He loved reading his bible, searching scriptures and sharing bible parable with his family.
Larry's passion was cooking and he was blessed with a gift of creativity. He could create a dish with only two ingredients. He loved cooking for his family and creating signature dishes. His favorite dish was chicken and shrimp fettuccine. He loved spending time with his family. He enjoyed fishing and finding fishing lakes to fish in while telling fish stories. But his love of football was like no other.
He will always be remembered as a man who loved his wife and children. He was an exquisite provider and took his duties as a husband and father above and beyond (a little extra at times). He never had to be reminded of his commitment to his family. His contagious smile would fill a dim room.
His laughter, his courage, his hard work and his dedication to his family will forever be honored. He knew his family loved him, but God loved him the most. He was lent for a little while to love and cherish until God asked for him back.
He leaves to cherish his memory his devoted and caring wife Kellie Coleman; his daughters Jireh Wade, Kellece Coleman and son Larry Coleman II; his aunt Gwendolyn Houston, one brother Carlos Coleman Sr.; one sister Kimberly Coleman; a dear special friend Charles Kinney and a host of special nieces, nephews, and friends.
