Obituary

LaQuisha "Janee" Moore was born on December 16, 1987, in Belleville, Illinois, to James M. Moore and Yolanda C. Wiley. From a young age, Janee embraced her Christian faith, being baptized by Cleophus Robinson Jr. at Northend Missionary Baptist Church. She continued her spiritual journey at Gateway Area Bible Fellowship Apostolic Church under the leadership of Levi King Sr., where she joyfully participated in praise and worship. With a distinct and beautiful voice, Janee ministered through song on many Sundays, as singing was her passion. Her talent took her to national stages, even competing as a contestant on America's Got Talent.

Janee graduated in 2006 from Cahokia High School, where she was an enthusiastic member of both the choir and the cheerleading team. After high school, she moved to Baltimore, Maryland, to live with her Aunt Neecie and cousin Tiara. There, she attended Empire Cosmetology School, developing a love for hairstyling, especially braiding, which she embraced with great pride. She later attended Job Corps in Morganfield, Kentucky, where she completed the Certified Nursing Assistant program, further expanding her skills and dedication to caring for others.

Some of Janee's greatest joys were being an aunt and becoming a mother. She was blessed with an infectious laugh, a deep love for her friends, and an unbreakable bond with her sister. Family was everything to her, and she was often at the heart of gatherings, bringing joy with her laughter, dancing, and singing.

On November 11, 2024, Janee joined God's Heavenly Choir. She was welcomed into eternity by her father, James Moore; grandmother, Lucille Wiley; uncle, Dannie Wiley Sr., and Aunt Jewel Moore.

Her memory lives on in her son, Aiden Michael Foster; her mother, Yolanda C. Wiley; her sister, Sharlonda Wiley; her grandfather, Lee Wiley Sr.; her beloved nieces, Aaliyah Farmer and Chrissette Davis; her nephew, Christopher Davis Jr.; and her partner, Michael Foster. She is also remembered by her bonus mother, Octavia Moore, and sister, Latasha Williams; aunts Mildred McGee, Margaret Brown, Barbara Woods, Zelda Adkins, Deborah Wiley, and Denise Wiley; uncles Terry Moore, Darnell Williams, Lee Wiley Jr., David Wiley, Vincent Wiley, and Rickie Wiley Sr.; and a host of cousins, friends, and extended family.

Janee's love, warmth, and spirit will be deeply missed but forever cherished.
