Langus Kye was born on August 4, 1935 to the union of Emma Kye and Pump Pippen in Macon, Mississippi. Langus departed this life on April 4, 2017 at Memorial Hospital in Belleville, Illinois.
At an early age, Langus confessed his love for God at the family church in Macon, Ms. Langus moved in 1964 to East St. Louis, Il, where he worked as an automobile mechanic until his retirement.
Langus was preceded in death by his mother and father, loving wife of 32 years Fannie Bell, two sisters Katie and Queen, five brothers Jim, Ray, Shelton, Jerry and David, two sons William and McKinley and two daughters, Loretta and Rita.
He leaves to cherish his memory 11 children, Katie Kye and Diane Kye both of Columbus, MS, Winnifer Jenkins and Langus Jenkins both of Flint, MI, May (Leland) Stree of Bridgeton, MO, Ronald Bell of Seatle, WA, Donald (Grace) Bell of Pasco, WA, Billy (Judy) Bell of Springfield, IL, Patricia (Johnny) Benson of Springfield, IL, Ricky Bell of Seattle WA, and Lashonda (Dwayne) Lemelle of Cahokia, IL; 40 grandchildren; 50 great-great grandchildren; two loving sisters, Bernice (Ruth) Walton of Waldorf, MD and Mary Louise (Tommie Lee) Duck of Macon, MS; a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
